On the 5th, food delivery and karaoke giant Shidax announced that it would oppose a takeover bid (TOB) by food delivery giant Oisix La Daichi. It was resolved at the Board of Directors meeting on the 5th. This makes Oisix's TOB a hostile TOB.
Of the six directors, three who participated in the resolution unanimously voted against it. Shidajin, advisor and Shinichi Shida, chairman and president, and Tatsuo Kawasaki, representative director of the investment fund "Unison Capital", which holds 27.02% of the shares, are positive about the business alliance with Oisix but they did not participate in resolutions as an interested party. Shidax is said to have received proposals for collaboration from other food service companies. Shidax's board of directors said, "It is necessary to conduct a detailed comparative study on which candidate should be cooperated with," as the reason for opposing the TOB.
