Another KDDI voice call communication failure, affecting 83,000 people on the night of the 24th

KDDI (au) announced on the 25th that up to 83,000 people were affected by the communication failure that occurred on the night of the 24th. Voice calls became difficult to use, and emergency calls such as 119 were also affected.

The communication failure lasted for 45 minutes from around 9:13 pm on the 24th to 58 minutes, and was caused by equipment failure. In addition to au's mobile phone service, voice calls have also become difficult to use for other companies' services that use KDDI lines such as Rakuten Mobile, in addition to low end brands such as "UQ Mobile" and "povo".
