The government has entered into coordination to consider extending the operating period of nuclear power plants, which is said to be up to 60 years. It will be shown at the GX (Green Transformation) Executive Meeting on the same day, where discussions will be held on industrial transformations toward the realisation of a decarbonised society.
It also aims to restart additional nuclear power plants that have already passed the review of the new regulatory standards. The aim is to use nuclear power plants in the future, leading to decarbonisation and a stable supply of electricity.
